This Die-cast metal airplane model replica of the B-24 Liberator, also known as the "Male Call," comes in 1:163 scale with plastic stand and is approximately 5 1/8 inches long with 8 1/4 inch wingspan. It is specially designed for adult collectors and appropriate for 14+.

The B-24 Liberator was designed by the Consolidated Aircraft Company in response to the US Army Air Corps' request for bomber that could fly faster, higher, and farther than the B-17 Flying Fortress. It had a box-like fuselage, a high wing, tricycle landing gear, and a twin-tail assembly. Measuring 66 feet and 10 inches in length by 20 feet and 8 inches in height, with a 110-ft wingspan, it was powered by four air-cooled engines, reaching speeds of 300mph and heights of 28,000 feet.

The B-24 was used by the US Army Air Corps and the British Royal Air Force during World War II. The most-produced airplane in the war, it served in all theaters of operations, particularly the Allied bombing offensive against Germany. Nicknamed 'Male Call,' it was piloted by legendary Hollywood actor James Stewart, Operations Officer of the 453rd Bombing Group at the Norfolk Airfield. Completing 95 bombing missions, there are 13 intact B-24s, eight of which are in America.
